Macro ASMR: Knife Cut Through Emerald Crystal

26 Satisfying ASMR Video Prompts for Google Gemini (Tested): Crystals, Gold & Frozen Fruit

Share:

AI ASMR videos — a knife slowly cutting through a gemstone, a gold bar giving way under a blade, a frozen berry crushed in a glass — are some of the most satisfying clips you can make with today’s AI video models. They’re also the format I’ve tested the most on this channel.

Over several months I wrote and rendered 26 different ASMR prompts and posted the results as Shorts. This article collects all of them in one place: the full copy-ready prompt, what actually happened when I rendered it, what I changed after the first attempt, and the one technique from each prompt that’s worth reusing in your own videos.

In this article:

How I tested these prompts

Every prompt in this article was rendered by me before it was published, and each one links to the actual result on my YouTube channel. All 26 videos were made with Google Gemini, using its built-in video generation. Every prompt was typed straight into Gemini; the only one that used anything extra is the golden shoe, where I also uploaded a reference image so Gemini could match the exact gold finish. Where a prompt needed changes after the first render, I say what went wrong and what fixed it.

Transparency note: every video in this article is 100% AI-generated. No real gemstones, gold or food were cut or crushed — the hands, knives and materials you see were all generated by Google Gemini from the text prompt. The images below each prompt are frames from my own renders.

My experience making these: what surprised me

When I started this series I expected the fanciest-looking prompts to win. That’s not what happened. A few honest takeaways from rendering all 26:

  • Almost no prompt was perfect on the first render. Nearly every entry below has a note about something I had to adjust — vapor too heavy, veins too faint, juice too glowing, camera moving too much. Plan for a second attempt; it’s part of the process, not a failure.
  • Small words beat long descriptions. Changing “heavy” to “slight” frost, or “sharp” to “soft, cloudy” veining, fixed more of my renders than adding extra sentences ever did.
  • The simple prompts surprised me most. The frozen marionberry — one of the plainest templates in the set — ended up being the strongest of the fruit clips. The red mosaic stone template “carried further than I expected”, and the glass apple and blue strawberry both worked better than I thought they would.
  • Sound is the weak spot. The visuals were usually convincing long before the ASMR audio was. When the audio comes out soft, I generate a few takes in Gemini and keep the clearest one.

The side-by-side tests I ran

For several prompts I rendered a second version with one thing changed, to see whether a detail really mattered or only sounded good on paper. These comparisons are the most useful part of the whole series:

What I compared Result Prompt
Cutting malachite across the banding vs. parallel to it Cross-cut: bands visibly separate. Parallel: pattern barely changes 7
Cool light vs. warm light on emerald Warm light made the green depth noticeably muddier 1
Directional light vs. flat light on jade Flat light lost most of the frost and facet detail 10
5–10° tilted camera vs. flat top-down on a gold nugget Flat angle made the texture look more artificial 16
“Surreal” gold crush vs. grounded gold cut The word “surreal” is what made impossible physics look intentional 15, 17
With vs. without “jelly or slime” in the negative prompt (golden shoe) Without it, the metal briefly wobbled like rubber 18
“Marionberry” vs. generic “blackberry” Almost identical — the fruit name barely matters 21
Contrasting juice colour vs. colour close to the background (elderberry) Low contrast made the crush lose its impact 22

How to use these prompts in Google Gemini

  1. Open Google Gemini and choose the video generation option.
  2. Copy one prompt from this article exactly as written and paste it in. For the golden shoe (prompt 18), attach your reference image too.
  3. Generate, then watch the result with sound on — ASMR clips live or die on the audio.
  4. If something is off, change one detail and regenerate. Each prompt below includes what I had to adjust on my own renders, so check those notes first.
  5. Download the clip you’re happy with and post it as a vertical Short or Reel.

What makes an AI ASMR video satisfying

After rendering all 26, the same handful of rules kept deciding whether a clip worked:

  1. Extreme macro, almost no camera movement. Shallow depth of field, focus locked on the point of contact, and a push-in of only a few millimetres. A bigger move makes the shot feel unanchored.
  2. Describe the inside, not just the outside. Veins, layers, bubbles, seeds, inclusions. The internal structure is what the reveal shows, and it’s the biggest single lever in every prompt.
  3. Break the action into beats. Contact → slow cut or press → reveal → particles or juice settle. One long sentence produces a rushed, blurred clip.
  4. Match the light to the material. Cool, neutral light for translucent materials; warm light for dense, opaque ones; a side light whenever you want facets, colour flashes or texture visible.
  5. Make the sound match the material. Close-mic ASMR only, always “no music”. If the material behaves strangely, the sound has to match that behaviour or the clip looks like a rendering error.
  6. Use the negative prompt for specific failures. Blur, CGI look, extra fingers, text — plus the failure you actually see, such as “melted metal look” or “jelly”.

Part 1: Crystal & gemstone cutting (prompts 1–14)

Stone cutting is the core of the series. The tool choice changes the sound: a serrated knife creaks and scrapes, a chef’s knife gives a cleaner contact. Several prompts deliberately use the “wrong” tool — a bread knife on a sapphire — because the mismatch forces the model to invent a more interesting fracture and sound than the generic cut it would produce with an expected tool.

1. Emerald crystal, chef’s knife on a matte counter

AI-generated ASMR video frame: Emerald crystal, chef’s knife on a matte counter
Frame from my render of prompt 1 (tap to watch)

The baseline of the whole series: a stainless kitchen knife, a rough emerald, cool neutral light, and a gentle push-in. If you only try one prompt from this page, start here — every other entry is a variation on this structure.

ASMR macro video of clean human hands with natural skin tone using a stainless-steel kitchen knife to perform a clean straight cut from top to bottom through a Emerald made of rough crystalline mineral, placed on a plain matte kitchen counter under cool neutral lighting for clean, clinical detail. The motion is very slow and controlled, and the cut gradually reveals complex crystal structures as the material reacts. A close microphone clearly captures tiny granular shifts in sync with the movement, without background noise. The camera uses a gentle forward push-in that settles near the cut with very slow and deliberate motion, staying in a tight macro close-up with shallow depth of field on the interaction between blade, surface and interior. The shot focuses on how the material stretches, breaks and settles, showing crumbs, cracks and tiny particle details. The overall ASMR atmosphere is focused and slow-paced, with a clean background and no distractions.

Negative prompt: cartoon, CGI look, low detail, blur, shaky camera, overexposed, harsh shadows, dirty hands, jewelry, extra fingers, blood, gore, text, subtitles, logos, watermark, motion blur, unrealistic fractures

What happened when I rendered it: The negative prompt earned its place. The green interior stayed detailed instead of flattening into a single color. I also ran a quick comparison with warmer light, and the green depth got noticeably muddier.

Reuse this: If your stone renders as a flat colored blob, name an internal structure (grain, veins, layers) in the positive prompt. A negative prompt can rule out failures, but it can’t add detail you never asked for.

2. Sapphire, serrated bread knife

AI-generated ASMR video frame: Sapphire, serrated bread knife
Frame from my render of prompt 2 (tap to watch)

A bread knife is the wrong tool for a sapphire in real life — which is exactly why it works. The prompt also splits the action into three beats: contact, cut, reveal.

ASMR texture-focused macro video where well-groomed human hands gently position a thin serrated bread knife on a Sapphire made of rough crystalline mineral, resting on a white studio cutting board under cool neutral lighting for clean, clinical detail. The slice begins with a clean straight cut from top to bottom. The cut slowly opens the surface and reveals complex crystal structures while the material moves and deforms. Each tiny movement produces hollow, controlled creaks, recorded extremely close so every detail is audible but still soft. The camera uses a gentle forward push-in that settles near the cut with very slow and deliberate motion, keeping the frame tight on the contact between blade and material. The main emphasis is on the way the material changes shape and settles, showing crumbs, cracks and tiny particle details. The ASMR mood stays focused and slow-paced, making the scene feel calm, controlled and deeply satisfying to watch.

What happened when I rendered it: The creaking sound came through clearly different from the cleaner contact sound of the chef’s-knife prompts. The reveal beat looked better with a slightly longer hold than I first expected.

Reuse this: If your generations feel rushed or blurred together, break the action into explicit beats instead of describing it as one motion.

3. Blue quartz, serrated knife

AI-generated ASMR video frame: Blue quartz, serrated knife
Frame from my render of prompt 3 (tap to watch)

A short, focused prompt with no hands described at all — the quartz and the serrated blade carry the shot on their own.

A slow, continuous cutting motion through a blue quartz crystal using a finely serrated knife. The serrated teeth grip gently as the blade advances steadily, opening a clean fracture line from top to bottom. The interior gradually reveals dense granular textures and soft, cloudy veining within the crystal. The material subtly softens under pressure, slightly shifting before settling into place. Fine crumbs and tiny reflective sparkles shimmer inside the cut with each precise movement of the blade. Ultra-close macro framing captures micro-level details, showing how the surface stretches, fractures, and stabilizes. Clean white studio environment with cool, neutral lighting and a subtle side light to enhance texture, depth, and internal reflections. Shallow depth of field focused on the blade–material interaction. No distractions, no background elements. Pure ASMR sound design only: gentle serrated scraping, muted crystalline resistance, soft granular settling sounds — no music, no background noise. The pacing is slow, controlled, and meditative, creating a relaxing, cinematic, nerve-soothing experience.

What happened when I rendered it: It didn’t feel incomplete. Cool lighting made the quartz read as more premium than warm light would. On my first attempt the veining came out too sharp, like cut glass; keeping it at “soft, cloudy” fixed that.

Reuse this: The serrated-knife detail transfers to any brittle, granular material — it produces a more textured, audible resistance than a straight blade.

4. Black opal with chromatic flames

AI-generated ASMR video frame: Black opal with chromatic flames
Frame from my render of prompt 4 (tap to watch)

The goal here is opal’s colour play: green and blue flashes with faint red, changing as the blade moves. A soft angled side light is what makes the flashes visible.

Cinematic macro shot of cutting a black opal with moving chromatic flames. The scene opens with an extreme macro close-up from a slightly top-down angle. Two well-groomed adult male human hands hold a thin, finely serrated bread knife, placed with extreme precision onto the surface of a rough, crystalline black opal with a deep, dark tone and textured exterior. As a slow, straight downward cut begins, the stone visibly resists, then ultra-fine micro-fractures appear and carefully propagate along the cutting line. With each subtle advance of the blade, the opal’s internal colors ignite and animate into vivid chromatic flames, shifting between green and blue with faint red accents, changing dynamically with even the smallest movement and pressure. Fine crystalline shards and microscopic sparkling particles release from within the stone, gently dispersing and settling onto a clean white cutting board, while the interior reveals richly layered structures with high contrast and brilliance. Neutral, cool studio lighting combined with a soft angled side light enhances the color flashes and highlights microscopic crack details, maintaining a clean, controlled, near-laboratory aesthetic with no distractions. The sound design is pure ASMR: subtle finger friction, precise metallic scraping, soft hollow crystalline resonance, delicate granular crackling, and muted particle-settling sounds — no music, no background noise — creating a calm, meticulous, deeply satisfying visual and auditory experience.

What happened when I rendered it: The colour shift read as real mineral optics, not generic sparkle — the green-to-blue transition especially. The two-hand framing mattered more than I expected for making the blade placement look deliberate.

Reuse this: For any stone with optical effects (opal, labradorite, moonstone), describe how the colour changes with pressure, not just which colours are there.

5. Red mosaic stone, technical camera template

AI-generated ASMR video frame: Red mosaic stone, technical camera template
Frame from my render of prompt 5 (tap to watch)

This one uses a precise camera block — 100mm macro, 5–10° tilt, motorized slider, 120fps — that I reuse across several entries. The only thing that really changes is the stone description.

Extreme macro close-up of a polished red patterned stone (opal-like, mosaic cellular structure with white mineral veins), top-down with a slight 5–10° tilt. Slow, stabilized forward push-in on a motorized slider. 100mm macro lens, very shallow depth of field, focus locked on the blade-to-stone contact seam. 120fps to capture micro-cracks and particle motion, perfectly steady framing. Two well-groomed adult human hands (masculine appearance, clean trimmed nails, no jewelry) hold a thin serrated bread knife. The blade is gently positioned on the stone, then performs one slow, straight top-to-bottom slice. As the blade advances, fine cracks propagate in a controlled way; the surface opens slightly, releasing delicate crumbs and microscopic mineral particles. Internal color depth subtly shifts as micro-fractures form. Pristine white studio cutting board on a clinical white tabletop. Stone centered, minimal props. Cool neutral overhead soft panels with a subtle raking side light to emphasize surface texture, crack propagation, and particulate sparkle. Photorealistic 4K macro realism, clean clinical aesthetic, high micro-contrast, ultra-detailed textures. Calm, slow, controlled ASMR pacing. Extreme close-mic ASMR: soft fingertip contact, faint knife-metal micro-scrape, gentle mineral creaks, fine grit skitters, particle settling. No music. No subtitles.

Negative prompt: cartoon, CGI look, low detail, blur, shaky camera, overexposed, harsh shadows, dirty hands, jewelry, extra fingers, blood, gore, text, subtitles, logos, watermark, motion blur, unrealistic fractures

What happened when I rendered it: The cracks followed the cell-boundary pattern described instead of spreading randomly. The white veins were too faint at first; naming “white mineral veins” explicitly made them visible once the cut opened.

Reuse this: Lock the camera and lighting block, then change only the internal-structure description. It’s the quickest way to see what actually drives the result.

6. Emerald in volcanic host rock

A two-material shot: a glowing green crystal half-buried in dark, matte volcanic rock. The prompt sequences the fractures — host rock first, crystal second.

Extreme macro close-up, top-down with a subtle 5–10° tilt; slow stabilized forward push-in on a motorized slider; 100mm macro lens; very shallow depth of field with focus locked on the blade-to-crystal contact edge; 120fps to capture micro-fractures, crystal flexing, and particulate motion; perfectly steady framing. Two well-groomed adult human hands (masculine appearance, clean trimmed nails, no jewelry) holding a thin fine-tooth serrated knife. The object is a raw green crystal stone, emerald-like in appearance, partially exposed within a dark, rough volcanic host rock. The crystal interior is translucent, glowing green, with glossy liquid-like reflections and uneven crystalline depth, while the outer rock remains matte and porous. Hands gently position the serrated blade along the boundary where the green crystal meets the dark stone matrix, then perform one slow, straight top-to-bottom slice. As the blade advances, fine cracks propagate through the brittle host rock first, followed by subtle crystalline fractures within the green interior. Powdery stone dust, tiny rock chips, and microscopic crystal particles release and settle, while the emerald glow subtly shifts with each controlled micro-movement. Clinical white studio tabletop; stone centered on a pristine white cutting board; minimal props. Lighting: cool neutral overhead soft panels combined with a focused raking side light to illuminate internal green translucency, fracture edges, and micro-particle sparkle as the cut opens. Photorealistic 4K macro realism; clean, clinical-grade aesthetic; high micro-contrast emphasizing crack propagation, rough-to-gloss texture transitions, and crystal depth; calm, slow, controlled ASMR pacing. Extreme close-mic ASMR audio: soft fingertip contact, faint knife-on-stone scrape, brittle rock ticks, subtle crystalline creaks, fine debris skittering and settling. No music. No subtitles.

Negative prompt: no blood, no CGI, no blur, no text, no music

What happened when I rendered it: The host rock cracked first and the inner fractures followed a beat later, exactly as written, on the first attempt. The audio cues came through a little softer than the visuals, so if close-mic sound matters most, generate a couple of takes and keep the clearest.

Reuse this: When two materials meet, tell the model which one breaks first. Sequencing the fracture gives the shot a natural rhythm.

7. Polished malachite, cut across the banding

AI-generated ASMR video frame: Polished malachite, cut across the banding
Frame from my render of prompt 7 (tap to watch)

Malachite’s concentric green banding is real and dramatic, so this prompt doesn’t need any invented material behaviour. The key instruction is cutting across a natural vein, not along it.

Extreme macro close-up, top-down with a subtle 5–10° tilt; slow stabilized forward push-in on a motorized slider; 100mm macro lens; ultra-shallow depth of field with focus locked on the blade-to-malachite contact seam; 120fps to capture micro-cracks, band separation, and particulate motion; perfectly steady framing. Two well-groomed adult human hands (masculine appearance, clean trimmed nails, no jewelry) holding a thin fine-tooth serrated bread knife. The object is a polished malachite stone, oval-shaped, featuring rich emerald-to-deep-green concentric banding with subtle natural fractures and vein lines. The surface is mirror-glossy with visible layered mineral depth beneath. Hands gently place the serrated blade along a natural vein crossing the banded layers, then perform one slow, straight top-to-bottom slice. As the blade advances, hairline fractures propagate through the layered bands, releasing fine green mineral dust, tiny chips, and microscopic particles. The internal banding subtly shifts in tone and depth as the cut opens. Clinical white studio tabletop; stone centered on a pristine white cutting board; minimal props. Lighting: cool neutral overhead soft panels combined with a soft raking side light to emphasize band curvature, fracture lines, surface gloss, and micro-particle sparkle. Photorealistic 4K macro realism; clean, clinical-grade aesthetic; high micro-contrast highlighting crack propagation, layered texture, and particulate detail; slow, controlled ASMR pacing. Extreme close-mic ASMR audio: soft fingertip contact, faint knife-on-polished-stone micro-scrape, delicate crystalline ticks, subtle granular grit sounds, tiny debris skittering and settling. No music. No subtitles.

Negative prompt: no blood, no CGI, no blur, no text, no music

What happened when I rendered it: I compared it with a version cut parallel to the banding. The cross-vein cut showed the bands visibly shifting and separating; the parallel cut barely changed the pattern. The raking side light is what makes the band curvature readable.

Reuse this: For any banded or layered stone, specify the cut direction relative to the grain. And a five-item negative prompt is usually enough.

8. Stone egg with a red crystal honeycomb

AI-generated ASMR video frame: Stone egg with a red crystal honeycomb
Frame from my render of prompt 8 (tap to watch)

Instead of a slab, the object is a cracked stone egg with a ruby-like crystal interior — closer to a geode reveal than a stone being cut.

Extreme macro cinematic ASMR video. Top-down precision shot of a rough stone egg resting on a clean white studio cutting board under cool neutral lighting. The egg has a cracked opening revealing a vivid red crystalline honeycomb interior. Two well-groomed adult male hands slowly enter the frame holding a thin serrated bread knife. The blade is carefully aligned over the red crystalline vein. With slow, controlled downward pressure, the knife begins to cut through the egg. At first the mineral surface resists. Then fine microscopic fractures spread organically through the red crystalline structure. The interior appears semi-translucent and ruby-like, glowing subtly as the blade advances. The cut progresses smoothly along natural geometric planes. Tiny mineral crumbs and dust particles gently break free and fall onto the white cutting board in delicate slow motion. Camera & Motion: extreme macro lens (100mm macro look), very shallow depth of field, slow stabilized push-in, locked focus on blade-to-crystal contact line, 120fps slow motion feel, perfectly steady framing. Lighting: cool neutral studio lighting, soft clinical shadows, high micro-contrast, emphasize internal red crystal depth, clean white background. ASMR Audio: soft finger friction, thin high-pitched crystalline scrape, delicate glass-like clicks, faint granular particles settling, no music, no voice. Style Keywords: hyper-realistic, ultra-detailed, cinematic macro, satisfying cut, mineral texture, photoreal, clean studio aesthetic.

What happened when I rendered it: The crack-and-reveal moment read very differently from a slab splitting open. Getting the interior to glow, rather than look painted red, needed “semi-translucent” emphasized more than in my first draft.

Reuse this: Any object whose outside gives no hint of the inside (a geode, a sealed container, a wrapped gift) benefits from this slow-reveal structure.

9. Raw magnetite, warm light

AI-generated ASMR video frame: Raw magnetite, warm light
Frame from my render of prompt 9 (tap to watch)

Magnetite is dense and opaque, so this prompt switches to a warm glow instead of the cool clinical light used for translucent stones.

ASMR macro video of human hands with clean nails using a sharp chef’s knife to perform a precise cross-section cut through a Magnetite made of rough crystalline mineral, placed on a white studio cutting board under a cozy warm glow with subtle highlights. The motion is very slow and controlled, and the cut gradually reveals denser interior grain and pores as the material reacts. A close microphone clearly captures tiny granular shifts in sync with the movement, without background noise. The camera uses a slow macro glide that moves just a few millimeters with calm, controlled pacing, staying in a tight macro close-up with shallow depth of field on the interaction between blade, surface and interior. The shot focuses on how the material stretches, breaks and settles, showing crumbs, cracks and tiny particle details. The overall ASMR atmosphere is hyper-detailed and tactile, with a clean background and no distractions.

What happened when I rendered it: The warm light worked: the interior read as solid, dense mineral rather than glass. I tightened the camera glide after an early test — even a small extra push made the shot feel less anchored on a stone that isn’t visually flashy.

Reuse this: Match light to material density: cool light for translucent stones, warm light for dense, opaque ones.

10. Light-blue jade, frosted glass

AI-generated ASMR video frame: Light-blue jade, frosted glass
Frame from my render of prompt 10 (tap to watch)

A frosted, glass-like “jade” with internal facets, lit with a soft overhead key and a faint side fill.

Extreme macro close-up, 100mm macro lens, f/2.8 shallow depth of field; camera low at counter height with a gentle forward push-in that settles closer to the cut line; subtle focus pull to keep knife edge and fracture front sharp; 4k realism, 60fps, ultra-detailed micro-textures. Well-groomed human hands with clean trimmed nails and smooth skin; calm, steady grip on a sharp stainless chef’s knife with a polished bevel; no jewelry. One continuous, very slow, controlled straight cut from top to bottom through a light-blue “jade” object made of cool frosted glass-like material; surface slightly compresses, then fractures; controlled crumbs, cracks, and fine particles appear; the opening progressively reveals complex crystalline structures inside that catch light as the halves separate and settle. Plain matte kitchen counter (neutral gray), clean empty background; cool neutral clinical lighting (soft overhead key with faint side fill) to emphasize edges, frost, and internal facets; particles fall and rest on the counter. Photorealistic macro ASMR; clean, clinical detail; cool color grade with subtle highlights; tactile emphasis on fracture propagation and settling debris. Close-mic ASMR: hollow, controlled creaks synchronized to the knife movement, faint glassy crackles and soft granular settling; no background noise, no music, no room tone. NO SUBTITLES

What happened when I rendered it: It read as a gemstone, not glass — the colour and lighting did more work than the word “jade”. A version with flat, non-directional light lost most of the frost and facet detail.

Reuse this: Directional light is what reveals internal facets. Flat light hides them.

11. Emerald glass with a candy-themed knife

AI-generated ASMR video frame: Emerald glass with a candy-themed knife
Frame from my render of prompt 11 (tap to watch)

The playful version: a pastel candy knife, a pastel cutting board, daylight from camera-left, and a slightly angled camera instead of the clinical overhead view.

Tight macro close-up, 100mm macro lens, f/2.8 shallow depth of field, 4k realism. Camera angle slightly above and front-right of the cutting line. Gentle forward push-in (slow, smooth) that settles near the cut by the end; focus racks subtly between blade edge and the interior crystals. Adult man’s hands only (clean, well-groomed, natural skin texture), no jewelry, calm steady posture. A cute candy-themed knife with pastel handle and tiny candy icon details, clean reflective blade. One continuous, very slow and controlled straight cut from top to bottom through a green emerald-like frosted glass surface. The material stretches, then fractures cleanly; crumbs and micro-particles release and settle as the blade advances, gradually revealing intricate crystalline internal structures. The emerald frosted glass-like slab sits centered on a pastel cutting board. Bright natural daylight from camera-left creates crisp specular highlights, soft side shadows, and internal glow in the green material. Background is clean, minimal, distraction-free. Photorealistic macro ASMR aesthetic, calm and intimate. High micro-contrast on cracks and crumbs, realistic refraction and scattering inside the green material, pristine color palette (mint green, pastel board). No text, no logos. Ultra-clean close-mic ASMR: hollow, controlled creaks and delicate glassy grit exactly synced to blade movement, tiny crackling as micro-fragments fall. No music, no room tone, no background noise.

What happened when I rendered it: It felt relaxed rather than like a lab specimen shot. The rack focus between the blade and the interior gave the clip two distinct moments of clarity.

Reuse this: Props and camera angle set the tone together. A coloured board plus a fun prop shifts the whole mood without touching the cutting action.

12. Frosted glass rock on a wooden board

AI-generated ASMR video frame: Frosted glass rock on a wooden board
Frame from my render of prompt 12 (tap to watch)

A hybrid material: frosted glass that briefly gives like something soft before it fractures, shot in window light on end-grain wood.

Extreme macro close-up at cutting-board height; 100mm macro lens, f/2.8 ultra-shallow depth of field; slow macro glide (only a few millimeters) with a gentle push-in; micro focus pulls to keep the knife edge, contact point, and crack front sharp; 4K photorealism, 60fps, ultra-detailed surface micro-scratches and particle rendering. Subject: Well-groomed human hands with clean trimmed nails, no jewelry; steady, careful grip on a stainless-steel kitchen knife with a clean polished bevel. A rock-like block with a cool frosted, glass-like surface (translucent, milky highlights), subtle edge bloom, and faint internal inclusions; placed on a wooden cutting board with visible end-grain texture. Action: One continuous, very slow straight cut from top to bottom through the frosted glass-like rock; the material shows soft, squishy deformation at the contact point, then stretches and fractures; the cut line gradually opens to reveal denser interior grain, pores, and layered micro-structures; tiny translucent chips, powdery grit, and fine shavings fall and scatter onto the cutting board; both halves separate slightly and settle. Context: Bright natural daylight coming from one side (window key light) creating crisp directional highlights and soft shadow falloff across the frosted surface and wood grain; clean minimal background with no clutter. Style: Photorealistic macro ASMR; calm intimate mood; natural color grade, clean whites, cool frosted tones contrasted with warm wood; minimal glare, high texture fidelity. Audio: Close-mic ASMR only: muted metallic scraping synced to blade movement, soft granular grit and tiny chips landing on wood; no background noise, no music. NO SUBTITLES

What happened when I rendered it: The brief give before the fracture read as a strange new material, not a rendering error — helped by matching it with metallic scraping audio. My first attempt used a bigger camera glide; keeping it to “a few millimeters” made the quiet mood land.

Reuse this: If a material behaves unusually, make the audio match that behaviour. Mismatched sound is what makes a shot look broken.

13. Translucent green glass apple

AI-generated ASMR video frame: Translucent green glass apple
Frame from my render of prompt 13 (tap to watch)

A glass apple with internal bubbles, cut with a straight kitchen knife on marble under soft light.

Extreme macro ASMR video of a translucent green glass apple with internal bubbles, resting on a smooth marble surface under soft neutral studio lighting. Clean human hands gently position a stainless-steel kitchen knife at the top of the apple and perform one slow, straight vertical cut. As the blade moves, the glass-like surface subtly deforms, revealing layered transparency, internal reflections, micro-fractures, and tiny particle details. Camera performs a slow, stabilized push-in with shallow depth of field, focusing tightly on the blade-to-material contact. Ultra-realistic textures, HDR lighting, calm controlled motion, cinematic macro realism, satisfying ASMR pacing.

What happened when I rendered it: The internal bubbles sold it — once the blade opened the apple, there was something moving inside. A harsher light setup I tried first blew out the internal reflections.

Reuse this: Keep a small internal detail (bubbles, inclusions) in any glass object. It turns a coloured blob into something that looks solid and real.

14. “Obsidian” made of layered plastic

AI-generated ASMR video frame: “Obsidian” made of layered plastic
Frame from my render of prompt 14 (tap to watch)

A material substitution: the prompt describes layered plastic with a rubbery skin, because that fractures the way I wanted the obsidian to look — then a desaturated grade makes it read as stone.

Extreme macro close-up, slight 3/4 top angle. Gentle, very slow forward push-in (2–3 cm) that settles into a near-locked shot by mid-clip. 100mm macro lens, f/2.8 shallow depth of field; focus tracks the blade edge and the opening cut line. 4K realism, 60fps for smooth slow motion. Well-groomed human hands with clean, short nails and natural skin texture. Satin-finish stainless-steel kitchen knife, razor-straight edge. “Obsidian” prop made of layered plastic with a soft, rubbery outer skin and darker layered core, resting on a spotless light marble countertop. One continuous, slow, controlled straight slice from top to bottom. The blade presses in; the soft outer skin compresses and stretches before splitting cleanly. The cut gradually opens, exposing intricate crystalline-like internal structures and layered striations; micro-fragments and fine dust shift and settle along the seam as the knife continues downward. Minimal clean countertop scene, no clutter. Subtle smudgeless reflections on marble; tiny particulate gathers near the cut. Soft diffused lighting that removes harsh shadows, slightly desaturated cinematic grade, calm intimate ASMR atmosphere. Ultra close-mic ASMR: soft muted metal-on-material scrape, faint granular shifting and tiny crackle as layers separate, no background noise, no music. NO SUBTITLES

What happened when I rendered it: The surface read as stone, not plastic, even at extreme macro. I skipped the negative prompt here and the hands still rendered fine across several regenerations.

Reuse this: Decide the fracture behaviour you want first, then describe the material that behaves that way — instead of naming the mineral and hoping for the right physics.

Part 2: Gold & metal cutting (prompts 15–20)

The biggest decision with metal is whether it should behave realistically or not. Both work, but only when the prompt is clear about which one you want:

  • Realistic: soft verbs (compresses, yields, settles), cool clinical light, muted metallic creaks, and “melted metal look” or “jelly” in the negative prompt.
  • Surreal: say “surreal” explicitly and describe the impossible behaviour, such as metal fracturing like ice.
  • Stylized hybrid: a metal surface with a crystalline interior, with metallic audio so it reads as intentional.

15. Gleaming gold bar, slow chef’s-knife cut

AI-generated ASMR video frame: Gleaming gold bar, slow chef’s-knife cut
Frame from my render of prompt 15 (tap to watch)

The calm, luxurious version: a brushed-gold bar on a grey counter, soft verbs (“compresses”, “subtly yields”) and muted metallic creaks.

Extreme macro close-up, 100mm macro lens, f/2.8 shallow depth of field; camera low at counter height with a gentle forward push-in that settles near the cut line; micro focus pull to keep knife edge, contact point, and fracture front tack sharp; 4k realism, 60fps, ultra-detailed surface and particle rendering. Well-groomed human hands with clean trimmed nails, no jewelry; steady, deliberate grip on a sharp stainless chef’s knife with a polished bevel. A solid gold bar with a cool matte brushed-gold surface and subtle frosted highlights. One continuous, extremely slow straight cut from top to bottom through the gold bar; the metal visibly compresses, then subtly yields; micro-fractures propagate; layered metallic textures and crystalline grain structures are revealed along the opening as the halves separate and finally settle; fine metallic crumbs and tiny reflective particles shed onto the counter. Plain matte kitchen counter (neutral gray), clean minimal background; cool neutral clinical lighting (soft overhead key + gentle side fill) to emphasize brushed texture and internal grain without harsh reflections; particles rest around the cut line. Photorealistic macro ASMR; precise, luxurious, calming mood; cool color grade, controlled highlights, crisp texture detail with minimal glare. Close-mic ASMR: muted metallic creaks and soft internal stress sounds synced to the blade’s motion, faint granular metallic settling; absolute silence otherwise, no music, no room tone. NO SUBTITLES

What happened when I rendered it: Side by side with the crushing version below, this one felt deliberate and premium rather than dramatic — the softer verbs really do slow the pacing. Leaving out most of the technical camera specs didn’t hurt it.

Reuse this: Your verbs set the pace. “Yields” and “settles” produce a calmer clip than “fractures” and “bursts”.

16. Natural gold nugget, serrated knife

AI-generated ASMR video frame: Natural gold nugget, serrated knife
Frame from my render of prompt 16 (tap to watch)

A rough, irregular nugget instead of a perfect bar, with the same 100mm / 5–10° tilt camera block I use for the stone prompts.

Extreme macro close-up of a natural gold nugget with rough, irregular crystalline surface and rich metallic luster, top-down with slight 5–10° tilt. Slow stabilized forward push-in on a motorized slider, 100mm macro lens, very shallow depth of field with focus locked on the blade-to-gold contact seam. Two well-groomed adult human hands (masculine appearance, clean trimmed nails, no jewelry) holding a thin serrated bread knife. Hands gently position the blade on the gold nugget and perform one slow, straight top-to-bottom slice. As the blade advances, fine micro-fractures appear, tiny metallic crumbs and dust release, subtle internal texture shifts and specular highlights bloom along the cut. Pristine white studio cutting board on a clinical white tabletop. Cool neutral overhead soft panels plus subtle raking side light to enhance metallic sparkle and surface relief. Photorealistic 4K macro realism, ultra-high micro-contrast, clean clinical aesthetic, perfectly steady framing, calm slow ASMR pacing. No subtitles.

Negative prompt: blurry, low resolution, noise, overexposed, underexposed, warped anatomy, extra fingers, deformed knife, melted metal look, cartoon, illustration, text, watermark

What happened when I rendered it: The gold stayed convincingly solid through the whole cut, thanks to naming “melted metal look” in the negative prompt. A flat top-down angle I tried made the texture look noticeably more artificial — the tilt matters.

Reuse this: Name the specific failure in the negative prompt (“melted metal look”) instead of a vague catch-all.

17. Gold bar crushed in a glass (surreal)

AI-generated ASMR video frame: Gold bar crushed in a glass (surreal)
Frame from my render of prompt 17 (tap to watch)

The deliberately impossible version: a gold bar crushed with a glass pestle in a tumbler, fracturing with molten reflections and frost vapor.

Macro, hyper-realistic video of a small polished gold bar resting inside a clear glass tumbler on a pastel wooden surface. The gold bar has crisp edges, a mirror-like metallic sheen, and subtle micro-scratches visible at extreme macro scale, reflecting soft highlights through the glass. A clear glass pestle slowly descends into the tumbler, pressing down onto the gold bar. As pressure increases, the bar fractures and deforms in a surreal, cinematic way, producing soft crystalline cracking and icy metallic popping sounds, similar to breaking frozen caviar. Fine golden dust and liquid-like molten reflections seep outward, pooling beautifully at the bottom of the glass with a faint shimmer and cool frost vapor lingering in the air. The background is softly blurred in pale pastel tones, decorated with delicate twinkling fairy lights out of focus, creating a cozy, modern aesthetic. Natural soft lighting, HDR, ultra-realistic detail, IMAX laser look, 8K resolution. No music — only gentle ASMR crushing, metallic crackling, and icy micro-fracture sounds.

What happened when I rendered it: It read as an intentional stylistic choice, not a rendering error. Comparing it with the grounded gold prompt made it obvious how much the word “surreal” justifies the impossible physics.

Reuse this: If you want physics-bending results, say so explicitly (“surreal, cinematic”). Otherwise the model produces something ambiguous that looks like a mistake.

18. Luxury golden shoe, with a reference image

AI-generated ASMR video frame: Luxury golden shoe, with a reference image
Frame from my render of prompt 18 (tap to watch)

An image-to-video prompt: the reference photo carries the exact gold tone and finish, while the text handles the cut, camera and sound.

9:16 Ultra-hyper-realistic ASMR macro texture video. Clean adult human hands with natural skin tone, visible pores, and soft realistic movement gently position a sharp chef’s knife against a luxury gold shoe made of polished metal, visually inspired by the reference image’s luxury metallic gold surface and refined finish. The object rests on a plain matte kitchen counter, minimal and distraction-free. Lighting is cool, neutral, and clinical, designed to emphasize surface grain, micro-scratches, brushed metal texture, and edge sharpness. The cut begins with a single clean, straight slice from top to bottom. As the blade moves through the surface in slow motion, the material opens gradually, revealing a denser inner grain with pores, layered structure, and subtle deformation rather than brittle breaking. Each micro-movement produces tiny granular shifts, crumbs, hairline cracks, and particle displacement. The camera is extreme macro, staying tightly framed on the contact point between blade and material. A gentle forward push-in occurs during the slice, extremely slow and controlled, settling near the opening cut. Depth of field is shallow, background fully blurred. ASMR focus: no music, no voice — only soft, realistic tactile sounds: fine slicing contact, subtle granular movement, quiet material settling. Motion is calm, deliberate, and precise. Textures are ultra-detailed, photorealistic, physically believable. Cinematic realism, stabilized camera, realistic physics, premium product-film quality.

Negative prompt: cartoon, stylized, fantasy, low-resolution, plastic or rubber texture, jelly or slime, unrealistic melting or bending, exaggerated deformation, gore, blood, organic flesh, noisy audio, fast motion, shaky camera, oversaturated colors, glowing edges, text, logos, watermarks, distorted hands, extra fingers.

What happened when I rendered it: The finish matched the source photo instead of a generic metallic default. An earlier attempt without “jelly or slime” in the negative prompt briefly wobbled into a rubbery deformation.

Reuse this: Let a reference image handle surface appearance and use the prompt for motion and sound. Exclude “jelly, slime, rubber” for any metal object.

19. Polished metal beryl

AI-generated ASMR video frame: Polished metal beryl
Frame from my render of prompt 19 (tap to watch)

A stylized hybrid: a gem shape made of brushed metal with a crystalline interior, paired with muted metallic scraping.

ASMR macro video of well-groomed human hands using a stainless-steel kitchen knife to perform a clean straight cut from top to bottom through a Beryl made of polished metal with brushed grain, placed on a white studio cutting board under cool neutral lighting for clean, clinical detail. The motion is very slow and controlled, and the cut gradually reveals complex crystal structures as the material reacts. A close microphone clearly captures muted metallic scraping in sync with the movement, without background noise.

What happened when I rendered it: It read as a deliberate material, not an error — the metallic sound helped sell it. Without the “clean nails, no jewelry” detail the other prompts have, one render needed a few retries before the hands looked right.

Reuse this: Always describe the hands, even on a short prompt. It’s the cheapest way to avoid retries.

20. Robotic hand and energy blade on a layered plastic bowl

AI-generated ASMR video frame: Robotic hand and energy blade on a layered plastic bowl
Frame from my render of prompt 20 (tap to watch)

No human at all: a titanium robotic hand with a glowing cyan energy blade slicing a layered plastic bowl on a black sci-fi table.

Extreme macro close-up, 100mm macro lens, f/2.8 shallow depth of field; camera locked low at table height with a gentle forward push-in (slow dolly) that settles closer to the cut line; focus pulls micro-adjust to keep blade edge and tear line crisp; 4k realism, 60fps, ultra-detailed textures. A futuristic mechanical hand with brushed titanium panels, fine joints, and subtle wear; it holds a thin glowing cyan energy blade (clean edge, soft bloom) angled for a diagonal cut; no human visible. One continuous, very slow, controlled diagonal slice through a bowl made of layered plastics with a soft outer skin; material stretches, then yields; crumbs and micro-fractures form; the cut gradually reveals intricate crystalline structures inside that shimmer and facet as the layers separate. Matte black sci-fi worktable with minimal seams; clean, distraction-free background; bright natural daylight from camera-left creates crisp highlights and soft shadows across the hand, blade, and bowl; tiny particles drift and settle on the table. Photorealistic macro ASMR aesthetic; clinical clean look; high contrast daylight, cool-cyan blade glow, neutral blacks; tactile emphasis on surface tension, cracks, and settling debris. Pure ASMR: close mic captures muted metallic scraping synced to the slice, soft plasticky stretching and faint crackles; absolute silence otherwise, no hum, no room tone, no music. NO SUBTITLES

What happened when I rendered it: It didn’t feel empty. The metallic scraping and plastic stretching picked up the tactile slack, and the blade’s glow acted as a second light source that made the cyan grade feel motivated.

Reuse this: Without hands, lean harder on audio and material description — and use a light-emitting tool to justify a stylized colour grade.

Part 3: Frozen fruit & dessert crushing (prompts 21–26)

The first four prompts in this part use exactly the same template — a frozen berry in a clear glass tumbler on a pastel wooden surface, crushed slowly with a glass pestle, with a soft icy popping sound “similar to breaking frozen caviar” — with only the fruit and juice colour changed. That made them a clean experiment: the juice colour against the background matters most, the fruit name matters least, and frost vapor must stay “slight”. The last two go beyond the template.

21. Frozen marionberry

AI-generated ASMR video frame: Frozen marionberry
Frame from my render of prompt 21 (tap to watch)

The strongest performer of the frozen-fruit set: a near-black purple berry crushed with a glass pestle in a tumbler, against a pastel background with fairy lights.

Macro, hyper-realistic video of a single frozen purple Marionberry resting inside a clear glass tumbler on a pastel wooden surface. the Marionberry is semi-translucent, plump, with a glossy frosted sheen. a clear glass pestle slowly descends into the glass, pressing down and crushing the Marionberry clusters with a satisfying, soft, icy popping sound, similar to breaking frozen caviar. crushed juices ooze out with a vivid purple color and slight frost vapor, pooling beautifully in the bottom of the glass. the background is a softly blurred pale pastel color, decorated with delicate twinkle fairy lights out of focus, creating a cozy, modern aesthetic. natural soft lighting, HDR, ultra-realistic detail, IMAX laser look, 8K, no music, only gentle ASMR crushing and icy crackling sounds.

What happened when I rendered it: The dark purple juice pooling at the bottom was more striking on camera than the tomato or gooseberry versions. I also tried swapping the name for a generic “blackberry” — the result was nearly the same.

Reuse this: The fruit name barely matters. The colour and texture description does the real work.

22. Frozen elderberry

AI-generated ASMR video frame: Frozen elderberry
Frame from my render of prompt 22 (tap to watch)

The same template with tiny blue elderberries, which crush in clusters rather than as one piece.

Macro, hyper-realistic video of a single frozen blue elderberry resting inside a clear glass tumbler on a pastel wooden surface. the elderberry is semi-translucent, plump, with a glossy frosted sheen. a clear glass pestle slowly descends into the glass, pressing down and crushing the elderberry clusters with a satisfying, soft, icy popping sound, similar to breaking frozen caviar. crushed juices ooze out with a vivid blue color and slight frost vapor, pooling beautifully in the bottom of the glass. the background is a softly blurred pale pastel color, decorated with delicate twinkle fairy lights out of focus, creating a cozy, modern aesthetic. natural soft lighting, HDR, ultra-realistic detail, IMAX laser look, 8K, no music, only gentle ASMR crushing and icy crackling sounds.

What happened when I rendered it: It read as several small crushes in sequence instead of one collapse. When I tried a juice colour closer to the pastel background, the crush lost most of its impact.

Reuse this: Pick a juice colour that contrasts with the background. Cluster-shaped fruit gives you a more rhythmic crush.

23. Frozen gooseberry

AI-generated ASMR video frame: Frozen gooseberry
Frame from my render of prompt 23 (tap to watch)

Semi-translucent green gooseberries with a “vivid” green juice instead of a realistic muted one.

Macro, hyper-realistic video of a single frozen green gooseberry resting inside a clear glass tumbler on a pastel wooden surface. the gooseberry is semi-translucent, plump, with a glossy frosted sheen. a clear glass pestle slowly descends into the glass, pressing down and crushing the gooseberry clusters with a satisfying, soft, icy popping sound, similar to breaking frozen caviar. crushed juices ooze out with a vivid green color and slight frost vapor, pooling beautifully in the bottom of the glass. the background is a softly blurred pale pastel color, decorated with delicate twinkle fairy lights out of focus, creating a cozy, modern aesthetic. natural soft lighting, HDR, ultra-realistic detail, IMAX laser look, 8K, no music, only gentle ASMR crushing and icy crackling sounds.

What happened when I rendered it: Pushing the colour to vivid made it read as fresh rather than unripe. On my first attempt the frost vapor was too heavy and made the fruit look opaque; dialling it back to “slight” kept it translucent.

Reuse this: Keep frost vapor at “slight”. Too much hides the translucency that makes frozen fruit appealing.

24. Frozen tomato

AI-generated ASMR video frame: Frozen tomato
Frame from my render of prompt 24 (tap to watch)

A tomato is a useful test of how a model handles layered interiors: skin, pulp and seed pockets.

Macro, hyper-realistic video of a single frozen red tomato resting inside a clear glass tumbler on a pastel wooden surface. the tomato is semi-translucent, plump, with a glossy frosted sheen. a clear glass pestle slowly descends into the glass, pressing down and crushing the tomato clusters with a satisfying, soft, icy popping sound, similar to breaking frozen caviar. crushed juices ooze out with a vivid red color and slight frost vapor, pooling beautifully in the bottom of the glass. the background is a softly blurred pale pastel color, decorated with delicate twinkle fairy lights out of focus, creating a cozy, modern aesthetic. natural soft lighting, HDR, ultra-realistic detail, IMAX laser look, 8K, no music, only gentle ASMR crushing and icy crackling sounds.

What happened when I rendered it: The layers read distinctly — the skin resisted first, then the pulp gave way separately from the seeds. Heavy vapor briefly hid the seeds in my first render, so I kept it at “slight”.

Reuse this: Use a layered fruit to test a new video model. If it gets the tomato right, it will handle other composite subjects well.

25. Electric-blue strawberry

AI-generated ASMR video frame: Electric-blue strawberry
Frame from my render of prompt 25 (tap to watch)

An impossible colour kept believable: a cobalt-blue strawberry with a matte, velvety finish, crushed by a glass pestle on a green leaf.

Macro, hyper-realistic cinematic video of a single electric-blue strawberry resting naturally on a deep green leaf. The strawberry has a rich cobalt-blue surface with highly detailed seeds, soft micro-texture, and a slightly velvety matte sheen. The green calyx and tiny stem hairs are sharply defined. A clear glass pestle enters the frame from above in slow motion. The movement is smooth, controlled, and deliberate. The pestle gently presses onto the strawberry’s surface. The skin resists slightly, then fractures with a delicate, crisp break. As pressure increases, the strawberry collapses slowly. Thick, vivid blue juice begins to ooze out, glossy and fluid, flowing between the seeds. Subtle frost-like vapor and micro-droplets appear during compression. The pulp deforms realistically, showing fibrous interior detail. Cinematic macro capture: Extreme close-up perspective, ultra-shallow depth of field, razor-sharp focus on seeds and juice, soft diffused studio lighting, gentle specular highlights, HDR, photorealistic textures, smooth slow-motion, no camera shake, 8K detail, IMAX laser look. Background: Softly blurred dark background with creamy bokeh. No distractions. Audio: No music. Only clean ASMR sounds — soft pressure, delicate skin crack, subtle wet crushing, and gentle juice movement.

Negative prompt: No text, no watermark, no distortion, no extra objects, no artificial glow, no fantasy effects, no exaggerated splashes.

What happened when I rendered it: The matte finish kept it looking photographed rather than illustrated. The juice was too saturated and glowing on the first try; pulling it back to “glossy and fluid” kept it believable.

Reuse this: When the colour is unreal, keep everything else real — matte surfaces, natural juice, and “no fantasy effects” in the negative prompt.

26. Mirror-glaze mousse cake

AI-generated ASMR video frame: Mirror-glaze mousse cake
Frame from my render of prompt 26 (tap to watch)

The dessert version: a heart-shaped mirror-glaze mousse cake cut with a silver dessert fork, with berry filling oozing out.

Macro, hyper-realistic cinematic video of a glossy heart-shaped fruit mousse cake resting on a dark slate surface. The dessert features smooth, mirror-like orange glaze with perfect reflections. Inside, visible layers of red berry gel and creamy white mousse create clean, elegant stripes. The cake is topped with fresh raspberries, blueberries, a thin watermelon slice, and small mint leaves with visible veins and natural texture. A polished silver dessert fork slowly enters the frame from the right in graceful slow motion. The movement is smooth, controlled, and delicate. The fork gently touches the mirror glaze, creating subtle tension and a faint surface indentation. As pressure increases, the glaze softly fractures and yields. The fork slides through the glossy coating and layered interior. The mousse compresses realistically, while the berry gel gently deforms. Thick red berry filling slowly oozes outward, glossy and rich. Tiny reflections shimmer on the glaze and fruit surfaces. Micro-details of texture, moisture, and softness are clearly visible. Cinematic macro capture: Extreme close-up, ultra-shallow depth of field, razor-sharp focus on glaze, fruits, and filling, soft diffused studio lighting, HDR, photorealistic textures, smooth slow motion, no camera shake, 8K detail, IMAX laser look. Background: Dark, softly blurred backdrop with creamy bokeh. Minimal, elegant, distraction-free. Audio: No music. Only clean ASMR sounds — gentle fork contact, soft glaze crack, delicate mousse compression, subtle wet filling movement.

Negative prompt: No text, no watermark, no distortion, no extra objects, no exaggerated splashes, no artificial glow, no CGI artifacts.

What happened when I rendered it: The fork made it feel like an inviting “about to eat this” moment in a way a knife wouldn’t. Getting the filling to ooze, instead of cracking cleanly like the mousse, needed “oozes outward, glossy and rich” emphasized.

Reuse this: The utensil sets the mood: a fork says “eat”, a knife says “cut”. Describe each layer’s behaviour separately — glaze cracks, mousse compresses, filling oozes.

Pros and cons of making ASMR videos with AI

After a full series of these, here’s my honest view of where AI is great for this format and where it still struggles.

Pros

  • You can “cut” materials you could never afford or safely cut in real life — gold bars, opal, sapphire.
  • Impossible ideas become possible: an electric-blue strawberry, gold that cracks like ice.
  • Once a template works, it’s repeatable. Prompts 21–24 are the same template with one word changed.
  • No cleanup, no wasted food, no equipment beyond a computer.

Cons

  • ASMR audio is often weaker than the visuals and can take a few generations to get right.
  • Hands still need care — short prompts without a hand description sometimes needed several retries.
  • Physics can go wrong: metal turning rubbery, juice glowing like a special effect, frost hiding the subject.
  • Expect to render more than once — most of the prompts here needed at least one adjustment before I was happy with them.

My verdict

If you’re new to AI ASMR, start with prompt 1 (emerald) for cutting and prompt 21 (marionberry) for crushing — they’re the best starting points in this article. Once those work for you, change one thing at a time: the material, the light, or the tool. That one-change-at-a-time approach is exactly how I learned everything in the tables above, and it’s faster than rewriting a prompt from scratch every time.

Troubleshooting: common problems and fixes

Problem Likely cause Fix
Object looks flat or painted No internal structure in the prompt Name veins, layers, inclusions, bubbles or seeds
Interior doesn’t glow Translucency under-specified Emphasize “semi-translucent” and add a side light
Clip feels rushed Whole action in one sentence Split into contact, cut, reveal, settle
Shot feels unanchored Camera moves too much Limit the glide to a few millimetres
Stone looks like cut glass Veining too sharp Use “soft, cloudy” veining and a desaturated grade
Gold bends like rubber or jelly Model defaults to soft deformation Add “jelly, slime, rubber” to the negative prompt
Metal looks melted Ambiguous physics Exclude “melted metal look”, or commit to “surreal”
Frozen fruit looks opaque Too much frost vapor Keep vapor at “slight”
Crush has no impact Juice colour close to background Choose a contrasting juice colour
Juice glows like a special effect Over-saturated colour words Use “glossy and fluid” and exclude “artificial glow”
Warped hands or extra fingers Hands not described Add “clean trimmed nails, no jewelry”
Weak ASMR audio Audio varies between generations Generate 2–3 takes and keep the clearest

FAQ

Which AI tool did you use?

Google Gemini, for all of them. I pasted each prompt into Gemini’s video generation and regenerated when something needed fixing. The prompts are plain descriptive text, so you can also try them in other AI video tools — but every result shown here came from Gemini.

Can I change the object in a prompt?

Yes. Keep the camera, lighting and audio parts, and rewrite only the object description — especially its internal structure. Prompt 5 (red mosaic stone) and prompts 21–24 (frozen fruit) are the easiest templates to adapt.

Do I need a negative prompt?

Not always. Detailed descriptions of the hands and tool were enough in several of my tests. Add one when you see a specific failure, like rubbery deformation or extra fingers, and keep it short.

Are these real gemstones and real gold?

No. Every video here is fully AI-generated from the text prompts — nothing real was cut or crushed.

Why do some prompts use the “wrong” tool, like a bread knife on a gemstone?

The mismatch forces the model to invent a more interesting sound and fracture than the generic result it produces with an expected tool.

How long should an AI ASMR clip be?

Short. Almost every result in this article was posted as a YouTube Short; a single slow cut or crush with a clear reveal is enough.
